CIPN has dedicated its functions towards the research & study on intellectual property system in Nepal with academic as well as experimental approach on Nepalese IP law, Practices & IP jurisprudence as a whole.
We undertake and encourage research projects from various sectors including private and public institutions.
a. Public Sector Research: We perform research on intellectual property protection mechanism, legal policy, instruments for intellectual property protection as well.
b. Private Sector Research: CIPN also perform and encourage private sector research program on various issues of intellectual property protection including institutional or organizational policy to be taken, infringement research etc.
CIPN conducts independent and client-focused research on IP law, policy, and practice. Our work includes comparative studies, impact assessments, and policy analysis. The goal is to support evidence-based decision-making and advocate for reforms that balance innovation, access, and fairness.
